Lighthouse International
with Julia Love
Julia Love graduated from Macquarie University in NSW, Australia, and started her career as a high school teacher. She taught for 12 years both in Public schools and in a Christian school. Her faith in the Lord began after she was miraculously healed of a debilitating muscle disease in 1977. She then went on a couple of short-term missions trips to PNG during school holidays. At the Lord’s calling to be a permanent missionary, she uprooted herself from her job, family and friends in Griffith and began the life of a missionary first in Bolivia where she spent 10 years. Over a span of more than thirty years, she has lived and served in Bolivia, Mozambique, and Ukraine, and then eventually other nations like Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Spain and the Philippines. She has taught in Bible colleges training pastors, worked in orphanages, Christian schools and generally done whatever the Lord brought to her hands to do.
She now lives semi-retired in Adelaide, still running online her missions organization Lighthouse International, and writing children’s books on faith and missions.
